Before you begin practising your new habit, it is important to figure out your strategy, and set realistic goals for what it is you want to achieve.
With this in mind, over the first week, it is important to figure out where you are at right now. So, try to keep track of how much you currently practice whatever habit it is you want to take on. This will establish a baseline of how much you currently do, helping you determine what goals you should set yourself.
Think about why it is that you want to build a new habit, are there particular reasons that make this important to you? Writing things down can help add a sense of clarity and help you make a motivated action plan to maintain your Healthy Habit.
Remember there are useful resources available to help think about and document your new habits in the MyCognition Healthy Habits toolkit
