Making a significant lifestyle change isn’t easy, so make sure you are proud of yourself and give yourself a reward to reinforce this positive change. It is important to act like a good teacher to yourself.

It might only be a small thing, but some form of positive reinforcement can really help to motivate you as you move forward. 

Everybody’s rewards will be different. For some it might be the occasional chocolate bar or takeaway, and for others it could be simply the beneficial effects felt from the new habit. 

What the reward is, is not overly important, so long as it motivates you and reinforces the positive changes you’re trying to make.
